    Years back, our founder Dr. Markus Müller had an idea that would revolutionize nucleic acid extraction and thus EchoLUTION was born - a technology for extracting DNA and RNA in just a single step. It was soon clear that this novel technology could overcome the limitations of standard procedures used in molecular biology laboratories and provide more convenience and faster results. Together with a small team, Markus started the first experiments in a provisional home lab.

    Biolog, Inc. is a privately held company that began operations in Hayward California in 1984, where the company remains headquartered today.
