Racotumomab | BOC Sciences

Racotumomab is a therapeutic monoclonal antibody used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, particularly in pediatric patients. Racotumomab targets N-glycolyl GM3 ganglioside, a molecule found on the surface of cancer cells, particularly in tumors of epithelial origin. By binding to this target, racotumomab helps to stimulate the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells. It is primarily used in the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and pediatric patients with relapsed/refractory neuroblastoma. Research is ongoing to explore its efficacy in other types of cancer.
